New with QuickBooks 2008/09

2008 brought in over 150 changes so I won’t mention all of them here.  Most of them are for ease of use.  Some of the highlights are

- New QuickBooks Centres for customers and Suppliers make it easier and quicker to see history and open balances.
- New  Home Page feature.  No more navigators.  Work from one page that combines all the navigators.   This means almost everything is within a couple of clicks.
- Adjustable column widths in forms
- Choose columns to appear in Lists
- Enhanced Tax features
- Enhanced Units of Measure features
- Enhanced form design layout
- Batch emailing of forms
- New backup wizard
- New portable file wizard
- New Clean Up Company Data wizard
- New Google Desktop tool, with additional QuickBooks-only preferences and features

- Improved customer credits.   

- Adjustable sizing for drop-down displays             

- Change in the database to make it run more quickly on newer/faster PCs.
